Wedding Balloons – Top Tips for balloons at weddings or once in a life time events.
Having worked with balloons now for over 10 years with The Party Balloon Company and as an Area Manager for Clintons, Birthdays and Pure Party I know only too well what reaction you can get at the sheer mention of balloons for a wedding or milestone birthday celebration.
Often it will prompt that classic rolling back of the eyes followed by I don’t like balloons and the odd thing is as a balloon company we actually agree some of the time.
The reason is the image some will have in their mind is of that over the top cross between an American High School prom and Woolworths at Christmas. A venue stuffed with columns and arches in all directions with exploding balloons adding more balloons for good measure which may be acceptable for a young child’s party but is it ideal for a wedding or milestone adult birthday celebration? We have been known to build a massive spiral arch for a corporate event or the opening of a supermarket however, I would question if this sort of thing has a place in a classic contemporary wedding.
We always say whether it’s for a wedding, milestone birthday party or school prom (Remembering school proms are for young very discerning adults not young children) when it comes to balloons – less is more!
If you are thinking about balloons for your wedding, keep to a simple classic style using fabulous pearlised pastel colours. Balloons can add a splash of colour as table centerpieces if done in a soft subtle way. The use of giant balloons particularly in some of your photographs works very well.
When thinking about milestone birthdays or school proms we prefer a more adult simple style. Again less is more, don’t be tempted to overdo it. The use of foil or giant balloons with darker colours can achieve a classy black tie feel which is all that’s needed.
If you are thinking of ordering balloons from us or Chair Covers from our www.suffolkchaircovers.com website we always recommend booking an appointment with Michelle at our Ipswich town centre showroom to see if you like what we can do.
Always look at other local suppliers websites, pintrest pages and Facebook pages for inspiration. We believe like a florist you will find each balloon, chair cover or wedding décor company has their own very distinctive style. You will find that when you are recommended a supplier for a wedding or once in a life time event it maybe that their style does not work with your vision in the same way as the person who strongly recommended them if they had a very different style to you . Are you looking for a soft and subtle classy vintage feel? Or it could be a modern contemporary vision with blush tones and metal colour pallets.
